Today is the last day of our trek. It’s the day where we
need to descend 4000 ft to Naranag. The first thing I do in the morning is to
go to Nundkol Lake and take its picture. With sun rising on the opposite side
of Harmuk, I get its reflection on the lake.

A group photo before we start our walk.
People who made this trek possible.
We first need to cross the stream flowing out of Nundkol. A
wooden bridge makes the job easy.

The walk is continuously on meadows with some mild ascent
and decent. Here our guide Altaf falls down from a rock to dislocate his elbow.
One of the team members knew how to handle it and carefully puts it back in
position. Army doctor in the nearby camp checks and gives him some medicine.
Nothing major but he would need some rest for next few days.

The path between Naranaga and Nundkol is well trodden route.
Famously known as Gangabal trek, many tourists visit Gangabal and Nundkol Lake
by climbing from Naranag.

A guest house seen on the route.
We walk for almost four
hours without losing altitude. Walk along the pine trees never seem to end.

Then starts the decent to Naranag. The descent is steep and harsh on knees. When
we get down to Naranag, we are an exhausted lot but filled with pleasure of
accomplishment!!
